| Warfare in Topeka - Karen DeWerff
Today was one of the best days of my life. I saw the Holy Spirit move powerfully in the women's prison in Topeka, Ks. Stories were shared, hearts were softened, salvation was accepted, believers were encouraged, the Kingdom was expanded, satan was put in his place, dreams became alive again and sisters rejoiced. I heard and witnessed forgiveness received and forgiveness offered. Inmates encouraging inmates after witnessing, platform performers, speakers and teammates being volunerable in front of them. I went with 5 other teammates in an explorer, bike and trike. Satan put up roadblocks for us from the time we left Wichita at 5:00am this morning until we arrived at the prison late around 9:00. Those roadblocks included a dead battery on a trike, a bike breaking down, delay in the team waiting for the missing biker, taking a wrong turn and heading west instead of east, a teammate with steel in her feet due to prior injuries being told if she set off the walk through alarm she would not be allowed to go in at all because she did not have her medical card (the alarm was silent). Praise God. Satan tried to do everything he could to keep us outside those gates but God wanted us inside. He is a great and awesome God and healer of broken lives. Jesus came to set the prisoners free. I can't wait to do this again!
