"Peace, she is with me!"
Rob W. - Tallahassee, Florida 2010

God never ceases to amaze me on just how wondrous He really is. Friday, May 14th, 2010, I was at Quincy Annex. A small medium custody prison which holds 420 inmates. Men who somewhere in life got caught in a web of crime, drugs, abuse, anger, etc. and ended up behind the walls of time. Here I was able to speak into the lives of 12 men in a small circle. Eleven of these men made decisions to re-dedicate their lives and hearts to Christ, as well as needing re-assurance of their salvation. One young man in particular made the first time choice of asking Jesus to come and indwell within his heart.

As soon as I got back to the hotel around 4:30 pm I noticed I had 7 voice mails on my phone. We are not allowed by the state to take our cell phones inside jails or prisons, it is a felony.

I've never had that many voice mails in one day so I knew something was up. My older sister Teresa, was evicted from her home in late April. For the last 5 years she has been unemployed, with no insurance, and needing body repairs. She has fought with Orange County for medical assistance to get her knee replaced, then her other knee gave out, next two or three vertebras in her neck, etc. God provided all her bills to be paid for through others who gave. The provisions ran out, her faith tested to the max, and eviction caught up with her.

I went to Winter Garden on Wednesday night to stay at my mom's house and my sister was there. We had great fellowship. Thursday morning I was up at 6am and kissed her goodbye. Teresa my sister said, "I love you and will see you later." I then left to ride to Tallahassee. When I called my wife Chris at 4:45pm yesterday she told me my sister Teresa was found dead in a hotel at 11:30 am.

My heart broke and I wanted to grieve but could not. God said to me, "Peace, she is with me!" Joy began to fill my heart as the Lord said, "Look at what I have done. I slammed shut the doors of Hell in the lives of those 12 men I spoke to through your obedience to be there in that prison, and I opened the gates of Heaven and received your sister Teresa into my arms."

My sister was a fighter with a warrior's heart. God has kept me focused and strong to finish the course of this weekend. There will be a time soon for my grieving.
