The Packet on the Table

As I was studying scripture during the week I came across a passage in Daniel that said, "God gives wisdom to the wise and understanding to those who have knowledge".  I believe when God shows you scripture He will also give you application for it.  I went to Central State Prison this weekend. When I came into the hotel Friday afternoon I sat down on the couch and there was a checkout packet for Central on the table.  I looked at it and absentmindedly put it in my satchel.  Saturday when we went to the institution everybody got through the gate but our platform guest, Jim Harris.  He was not on the list and they would not let him in.  After praying and talking to the officers, to no avail, the Lord reminded me of that packet He had prompted me to pick up.  I retrieved it and found Jim's name listed among the platform guests.  I called the Lieutenant and he came to the gate.  He asked me to show him Jim's name, which I did, and Jim was cleared to enter the unit!  In the midst of the trials and troubles God will give us what we need to do what He has asked.  He gave me the wisdom I needed and the understanding to get Jim in.  We had an incredible Saturday with 189 total decisions with 300 +/- inmates in attendance.  God is so good.
