| In the Middle of all the Clatter
Willie C. - La Grange, KY 2010
I am a Veteran CMA (Christian Motorcyclists Association) Biker who went into Metro downtown Louisville, KY last weekend. I was asked upon arrival to fill in as a platform guest at the last minute. I have always been quick and ready to share anywhere, anytime, how Jesus set me free from years of drugs and alcohol abuse. After I had shared my testimony in every pod on the 4th floor to about 300-400 inmates, and even managed to lead 2 inmates to the Lord while moving between pods, the thing that I will always remember was after lunch when they opened the visitor area up and allowed several pods at a time to come back in with us for questions and follow up time. One inmate came straight over to me with tears in his eyes barely able to speak. He shook my hand looked me in the eyes and said thank you for coming. As I asked him had he accepted Jesus in to his heart today he began to tell me no, but he wanted me to know that during my testimony in his pod, I had just told him his own life story of abuse. He was so broken and said he felt that he had failed God too many times in the past to be saved. I shared the tract with him and then told him the story of the prodigal son. He openly wept as he received Jesus and a fresh new start, right there in the middle of all the clatter and commotion of the visitor’s area! It truly was one of those divine appointments! And I will never forget Jason, and I know I will walk the streets of gold one day with him!
