| Blessed by God in Seeing the Work He is Doing
Ron B. - Fresno 2010
On Friday, I was assigned to Central Valley. I spoke to several inmates who professed Christ and prayed for assurance for them. Just before lunch, we were admitted to one of the dorms so we could eat with them. I (a white guy) approached two black guys and initiated a conversation. I shared the tract with them. One was a Christian and his friend was investigating Jehovah's Witnesses. After sharing the tract, the non-believer prayed to receive Christ and they committed to holding each other responsible for living a life that brings glory to God.
On Saturday, I was in Avenal yard 4, an SN yard. I spoke to many inmates and prayed for assurance for most of them. They stated that there was a large Christian presence on the yard. The atmosphere on the yard was very positive with the races being able to interact without too much difficulty. Michael T and Kilroy did an awesome job from the platform.
As has occurred on my seven WOCs, I was truly blessed by God in seeing the work that He is doing to change lives of those behind bars. I was convicted in 1986 that this was the way I was supposed to make a difference in this world for the Lord, by sharing Christ with those who are incarcerated.
