Once an Inmate, Now a Pastor

This last weekend was truly amazing for me in so many ways. As a platform guest our job is to set the table for the teammates. Friday I went to Wasco and was the closer on the main yard. Tanya and Paul did a great job getting and holding the attention of the guys and made my job easy. The harvest was really good. Ken did a great job as our leader! But Saturday is my main reason for writing as it truly was a dream come true for me. Exactly 20 years ago I was discharged from Avenal State Prison. I have dreamt of returning to that yard and sharing what God has done and what he can do for them. The 15 minute testimony that I preach in the prisons incudes two major points of revelation in my life that happened at Avenal. It was a very emotional day for me and of course the men really reponded well from my ability to identify with them in that way. I closed on the 2 yard in the morning and on the 3 yard that afternoon. I just wanted to write and say a big thank you for allowing God to fulfill my life long dream!
