| Perfect Timing
Coppelia A. - Folsom 2010
It was an amazing weekend! My husband and I had the blessed opportunity to work together all day, him doing sound and me singing. In addition to the special time spent working together, we were blessed by an inmate who prayed for us, Brother Peoples. It was a touching moment inside the yard.
I was also able to share with a few of the Spanish-speaking guys, or connect them with volunteers who shared the Gospel with them in their language. Awesome!
But one of my favorite parts was when one of the bikers, Dave, asked me to go meet some "fans". By the time I made my way over to where they were (talking to many along the way), Dave's wife Teresa was talking to a group behind the fence. They did not come out for the "program" but were listening from afar. They wanted me to sing for them, so I did. And then I shared a bit with them, and they were willing to pray, so we did.
Afterwards, Theresa and Dave shared that, although I had been delayed in coming over to see the guys, the timing was perfect (it was God's timing, of course!) After we prayed, Theresa kept sharing with them, and God was surely moving in their hearts!
I can't wait to hear many more stories of lives changed during this weekend. I believe that, down the road, we'll see some of these seeds bearing fruit. It's exciting to be a part of God's move through Champions for Life.
And this is a personal note, but I was even more blessed to know that my sister, platform guest Emille, was doing the other day of champions in Kentucky! What a privilege to serve together, even in separate states.
God is good, all the time!
