Seed Planted
Anthony G. - Folsom 2010

The Lord had blessed me with the opportunity to share my faith with those who are lost, back-slidden and non-believing at Folsom Prison, my first prison outreach.

I had zero expectations and decided to let the Lord lead me and guide me and he did just that. I was sharing with a Muslim man for about 35 minutes or so and although he told me throughout the entire conversation that he was content with his "religion", he chose to listen and let me share my beliefs and views with him.

This conversation was uplifting and as I saw his eyes watering at one point during the conversation, I knew the Holy Spirit was penetrating him and beginning a work in front of my very eyes.

He was sound and firm in his Muslim belief but as I said, the Lord was touching his heart as he allowed me to continue with how much God loves him. I couldn't stress enough how great God's love is for all of us no matter what we've done and nothing is too great for God's forgiveness and we can come to Him on a daily basis with any and all of our needs.

He told me "Something you said keeps sticking in my head, I’ll give you that much". He never told me what it was nor did I ask but whatever it was, the Lord planted the seed.

That's pretty much how the conversation ended, we gave each other a hug and I told him to keep God close to his heart and let the Lord reveal Himself to him and we went our own way.

He did mention to me that 'we' should be out there more often because it was a good thing what we're doing and this is exactly what the inmates need because so many don't know God nor do they believe.

With that being said, I feel blessed that the Lord opened the door for me to praise God and share my testimony with those in prison and shed some light on God's unfailing grace, love, compassion and forgiveness!

I also want to thank CFL for your prayers in asking for soldiers to come forward. Your prayers were answered and the Lord put it in my heart to represent MY Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

God bless you all and I look forward to many more journeys with CFL fighting for the Lord and bringing light to the darkness!

Thanks again!
