"No Better Way to Spend a Day"

On Saturday, April 24, 2010, I was waiting in the gymnasium of the Cook County DOC Boot Camp. When the doors were opened for the young inmates to enter I was overwhelmed with the presence of God's kindness and mercy already present. It was an amazing experience as we saw 85 young men making first time professions of faith in Christ. Later in the afternoon, we had some in depth discussions about going back into the hood as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We know it won't be easy, but with God, all things are possible. There's no better way to spend a day than sharing the hope of Christ with the hopeless.
