Jon Kregel was born in Germany and moved to Barcelona, Spain after being adopted. Soccer became his god and at an early age, he decided to become a pro soccer player. he eventually was signed with the New York Cosmos and played with the world's top athletes. Sports did not fill the void in Jon's life and he bagen drifting into the world of legal and then illegal drugs. Eventually, he became an alcoholic, a cocaine user and finally a dealer.

In 1983, Jon was arrested for possession and delivery of cocaine. While in prison, he met the One who filled the void in his life. "I am so thankful He gave me a second chance," Jon says. "The greatest news is He offers you a second chance also. He will fill the void and lonelilness inside you. Just like He did for me."
