From San Juan, Puerto Rico’s renowned Performing Arts Center to packed crowds in coliseums, Coppelia feels at home on stage.
Before American Idol, Coppelia was standing out in talent competitions. As a teen trio, Coppelia, her sister and their best friend won enough first place trophies to get noticed by local media in Puerto Rico. Offers came in, promising to make them the next big thing. However, school came first and the singing had to wait.
The trio went their separate ways, and Coppelia completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Meanwhile, the offers to sing kept pouring in, keeping her busy in churches and events.
Most notably, Coppelia stands out as a:
- Radio personality, heard nationwide on Air 1 Radio (website)
- Prior to that, she was heard throughout Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands on The Rock Radio Network (website)
- Voice-over talent in Sacramento, CA and nationwide
- Worship leader at her church, The Ridge Church (website)
- Concert emcee, hosting major events and concerts
- Guest vocalist for Christian recording artist Shirley LoPresti
- Veejay for music video TV show “Praise Time”
- Featured musical guest for the International Worship Congress in Puerto Rico
- Platform guest with the Bill Glass Champions for Life since 1997!
The Bill Glass Champions for Life Weekends of Champions are one of Coppelia’s favorite singing opportunities. After one WOC event she asked, “is it possible to have so much fun doing this?” She never dreamed that she would enjoy this outreach opportunity so much!
Coppelia lives in Sacramento, CA with her husband, Adam and son, Christopher. You can listen to Coppelia weekday mornings, from 9am to 1pm Pacific Time on Air 1 Radio. (website) She leads worship at The Ridge Church every Sunday (website).
Coppelia is grateful to her parents for their Christian legacy, and she credits all her success to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
