Emory Wilson

Emory was the instigator in starting a prison ministry in the prison where he was incarcerated in Mississippi in 1980 when a lady in his church back in Georgia sent him a copy of Bill Glass’ book “Free at Last”.  After reading this book several times, it started a small spark in his heart, a desire to be able to be a part of this great prison ministry.  He never even dreamed of the possibility of not only going as a counselor into the largest penitentiaries and prisons in the county, but of being able to serve on the staff of this great ministry.  After being released from prison in 1981, God put Emory and Bill Glass together.  Emory has been associated with CFL for 25 years.  He became a coordinator in 1984 and has coordinated some 135 Weekend of Champions events.  As of today he has attended over 200 Weekend of Champions.
