One Sunday morning in 1978 Bill Glass was guest speaker in Richardson Heights Baptist Church, and of course, spoke eloquently about witnessing for Christ in prisons. Dick signed up and went to his first prison in Huntsville. That was 30 years ago. Since then Dick has been in more than 400 prisons - sharing his faith in Jesus Christ with more than two thousand inmates. Dick has supported the ministry over the years financially, as a teammate, as a coordinator, as the DFW Head Coach and as a Bill Glass Board member. Over the years, Dick has tirelessly and successfully worked to bring friends and acquaintances into the ministry. Many that he compelled into a prison the first time have said: … “It was easier to just go than to put Dick off … he wouldn’t go away!”
