Champions for Life Privacy Policy

The staff of Bill Glass Champions for Life (CFL) is passionately committed to responsible stewardship of our volunteer teammates’ time, private information and money.  We have created this privacy policy to notify you of how we gather and use your information.  The policies and information of this privacy policy are subject to change with subsequent updates to this document.

Information Collection and Use

CFL requires teammates who sign up and participate in events to submit personal information such as their name, address, telephone number, social security number, and driver’s license number.  This information is shared only with the authorized government officials that make the security decisions for the units that host CFL events.  Your personal information is then saved and stored by CFL strictly for bookkeeping and ministry history purposes.

CFL collects credit card and bank draft information for purposes of event-based fee billing and donations to the ministry.  The use of such information is used in the strict context of event costs and donations to CFL, and is kept on private record in the case of an audit. All information gathered via the internet is stored securely by security features that are built into the website.  Please consult our Security section for more information on this level of protection.

CFL uses a third-party vendor for online credit card processing.  This vendor is not permitted to store, retain or use the information provided to CFL for any reason other than for the processing of your event fee or donation.

CFL does not sell, lease or rent your confidential information.  However, in the case of legal request, when complying with legal action, CFL may disclose personal information in order to comply with the proper state or federal laws.

Mailing List

When you request to be added to our email mailing list, you will begin receiving CFL’s “EPrayer Bulletin.”  You may receive other periodic emails that will bring you information about upcoming CFL events.   To be removed from this email list, click the UNSUBSCRIBE button in the email.  To be removed from any other CFL mailing list, contact Lisa Pritchett at lisap@billglasscfl.org.

Security

In order to secure your personal information from internet thieves, billglasscfl.org uses 128-bit SSL encryption to protect the data you submit on our web site.  SSL encrypts data that comes from your computer’s web browser and then sends the data in its encrypted form over the internet.  CFL’s software then decodes that encrypted data once it is received by our server. If intercepted by internet thieves, your information would be encrypted and thus secure.

You are able to see the SSL level of encryption in the lower right hand corner of your browser’s window.  The encryption is denoted by a small “lock” icon or, in the case of other browsers, a blue line around your browser window.

Cookies

While using the billglasscfl.org website, “cookies” will be used to enhance your experience while you surf the website.  Cookies are pieces of information relayed to your web browser that store records on your computer for many web sites.  One example for using cookies happens when you choose to save your password for password-protected web sites.

You may disable your cookies in your browser’s “preferences” settings.  If you choose to disable your browser’s capabilities of receiving cookies, some areas of our website will not function as they have been designed to function.

Changes

Bill Glass Champions for Life reserves the right to change this policy or any date-sensitive event information at any time.  The staff of CFL asks that you review this policy and the website from time to time to stay current with the most up-to-date information.  Please also review event information many times following your sign-up as changes may sometimes appear at the last minute.
