Huntsville, TX 2009 WOC

We continue to conduct our “Weekend of Champions in Huntsville every year because it houses the largest number of inmates in one area in the United States. Tradition and fellowship are paramount to the teammates when you go to the Front Lines.

CF Hazlewood, Pastor of Fellowship of Huntsville, hosted our Thursday night events. Never before has a church opened its doors and backed our proceedings so enthusiastically. Spiritual Enrichment was a tremendously motivating time. The John Sheptock Band went before our 549 Teammates to usher us into God’s presence. Pastor Hazlewood gave a testimony that had everyone on the edge of their seats. Normally we have ex-offender types that are now pastors, but CF is a former Corrections Officer that an inmate won to Christ. What a refreshing new prospective that set the tone for the entire Weekend.

Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance, the “5 Ps. Robert Smith, our Event Director in the Coastal Bend, did a great job by involving many new people in our “Weekend of Champions. 132 first timers help the veterans lead 2416 people to the Lord. 960 first time salvations. Many of the facilities were cell to cell for the most part, which was very taxing, but very rewarding. I want to personally thank every “Dedicate for your participation and hard work.

I am very pleased about the excitement I feel. 38 years and it is still fresh and exciting in each new “Weekend of Champions. I can’t wait until the next time we go to the Front Line together. Please pray for us daily that God will continue to supply our needs even during this economic downturn. As individuals we cannot out give God, and He will meet our needs.

In Him as Always
With Love,
