Bonham, TX DOC Thank You Letter
I want to personally thank you for your faithfulness in attending the May 30 Bonham, TX Day of Champions. This was a truly awesome event in many ways. First, we had a record number of Teammates sign up – over 260! On top of that, God provided fabulous weather for the day, enabling us to hold all our programs outdoors.
And an incredible blessing was that nearly 25% of the Teammates who signed up were Freshmen! What a great venue to be introduced to our unique evangelistic ministry. I heard so many positive comments from these first-timers and everyone I spoke to expressed a desire to do more Champions for Life events in the future. A special thanks to you Veterans who took the challenge to invite “newcomers!”
The testimonies of our platform guests (Jack Meeks, Jim Harris, Rich Garza and Keith Davis) were truly anointed and the bands at both units (“NameSake” at Choice Moore and “Heirs of Salvation” at Buster Cole) truly “chummed the waters” for great fishing.
We ministered to a total inmate population of just over 2,000 between both units. And, because of your obedience to the Lord, there were a record 525 decisions for Christ! Of these, 235 of were first time decisions – new names written in the “Lamb’s Book of Life.”
